Rafael L. Hernández Torres, BA

As an emerging professional in the field of accounting and financial strategy, Rafael brings a strong foundation in public policy, fiscal analysis, and business development. His academic concentration, with his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, reflects his commitment to strengthening financial governance and institutional performance.

Rafael has gained valuable experience through his participation in the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Internship in Washington, D.C., as well as the Córdova y Fernós Congressional Internship Program. His exposure to federal legislative processes and public finance policy has allowed him to develop a deeper understanding of regulatory frameworks, fiscal oversight, and governmental operations. Previously, he served as an intern for the Ways and Means Committee of the Puerto Rico House of Representatives and the Legislative Assembly Budget Office (OPAL), where he contributed legislative research and budget-related analysis.
